Privacy Policy

Spotify sign-in: if you continue with Spotify, we receive your Spotify user identifier, display name, email address, profile image, country, and Spotify subscription level, plus the access and refresh tokens needed to keep Spotify connected.

YouTube (Google) sign-in: if you continue with YouTube, we receive your Google account identifier, name, email address, and profile picture, plus access and refresh tokens with read-only access to YouTube. We do not post to YouTube or change anything in your Google account.

Activity in the app: the releases, tracks, and artists you save, your connected music services, and the search terms you enter so we can return results.

Device and diagnostic information: crash reports, error details, app performance measurements, device model, operating system, app version, and IP address.

If you contact us by email, we keep that conversation so we can help you.

We use information to create and maintain your Mixtape Monster account, sign you in, play music through the service you connect, keep your saved items, answer search requests, keep the service secure, fix crashes and errors, and improve the app and website.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not sell, rent, or transfer data we receive from Spotify or Google to advertising networks, data brokers, or any other third party, and we do not use it for advertising.

We do not use data or content from Spotify or YouTube to train machine learning or artificial intelligence models, and we do not use it to build profiles about you.

Mixtape Monster uses the Spotify Platform for sign-in and playback. Playing full tracks requires a Spotify Premium account and the Spotify app. Your use of Spotify is subject to the Spotify Terms of Use (https://www.spotify.com/legal/end-user-agreement/) and the Spotify Privacy Policy (https://www.spotify.com/legal/privacy-policy/).

You can disconnect Mixtape Monster from Spotify at any time at https://www.spotify.com/account/apps/. When you disconnect Spotify, we delete the personal data we received from Spotify within 5 days, unless we must keep it to comply with the law.

Mixtape Monster uses YouTube API Services for sign-in and to play YouTube videos inside the app. By using YouTube features in Mixtape Monster, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms). Google's use of your information is described in the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).

When a YouTube video plays in the app, it is played by YouTube's embedded player, which may collect information and set cookies or similar technologies on your device under Google's own policies.

Mixtape Monster's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy (https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy), including the Limited Use requirements.

You can revoke Mixtape Monster's access to your Google account at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. When you revoke access or ask us to delete your data, we delete the data we received from YouTube within 7 days. We refresh or delete stored YouTube data at least every 30 days.

The Mixtape Monster website uses Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights on every visit to count page views and measure page speed. These tools do not use cookies. They record the page visited, the referring site, approximate location (country or city), browser, operating system, and device type, and they do not identify you personally.

With your permission, the website also uses Google Analytics to understand visits, page views, referral sources, approximate location, device and browser characteristics, and how visitors use the site, including search terms entered on the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and stays off until you select Accept in the analytics notice. You can decline it or change your choice at any time through Cookie Preferences in the website footer. We do not send your Mixtape Monster account identifier, Spotify identifier, or email address to Google Analytics.

To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, visit https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can also install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

The website stores your analytics choice in your browser so it can remember it. The website does not use advertising cookies.

We share information only with service providers that help us run Mixtape Monster, and only what each one needs: Spotify (sign-in and playback), Google and YouTube (sign-in and video playback), Laravel Cloud (hosting for our servers and database), Vercel (website hosting, Web Analytics, and Speed Insights), Sentry (crash and error reporting for the app and our servers), Google Analytics (website analytics, only with your permission), and Apple and Google (app distribution through the App Store and Google Play).

We require these providers to protect information to a standard at least as protective as this policy and to use it only to provide services to us.

We may also disclose information when required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of Mixtape Monster and our users. If Mixtape Monster is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, but data received from Google will only be transferred with your prior consent, and data received from Spotify will only be transferred where Spotify's terms allow it.

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Spotify data is deleted within 5 days after you disconnect Spotify. YouTube data is refreshed or deleted at least every 30 days and deleted within 7 days after you revoke access or ask us to delete it.

When you delete your account, we delete your account information, saved items, and connected-service tokens. Crash and error reports are kept by Sentry for a limited period and then deleted automatically. We may keep limited records where the law requires it.

To delete your Mixtape Monster account and its data, email darrell@concretekreative.com from the email address on your account (the email from your Spotify or Google sign-in) with the subject "Delete my Mixtape Monster account". You do not need the app installed. We will confirm the request and delete your account, saved items, and connected-service tokens within 30 days, and within the shorter Spotify and YouTube time limits above.

You can also disconnect Spotify at https://www.spotify.com/account/apps/ or revoke Google access at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions at any time.

We encrypt connected-service tokens at rest and use encrypted connections between the app, the website, and our servers. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information.

Mixtape Monster is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided information to us, contact us so we can delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the date above and post the revised policy on this page.
